DEPARTMENTS - Prestage Area
CCHAA entered into an agreement with M/s IGTPL and thereby an office of CCHAA known as CCHAA Prestage office started functioning at the premises provided by M/s IGTPL at the prestage area with effect from December 2005. The office is equipped with necessary computers , printers, and other office equipments and it is manned by well trained system executive/operation executives.
Prestage office is entrusted with the responsibility of verifying the shipping documents prior to the entry of the container to the Prestage and only after ensuring the valid details and the preliminary scrutiny and the containers are permitted on the basis of gate pass generates at the Prestage office. The necessary Prestage charges of M/s. IGTPL are routed through CCHAA Prestage office and also the excess parking, monitoring and the charges thereof. Prestage office also maintains separate deposit A/cs for CHAs and monitor the same. Which is very convenient to CHAs. CCHAA office is functioning the round the clock.
IGT Procedure at Prestage area.
1. All Trucks carrying export containers which are house stuffed , ICD stuffed , CFS stuffed ( other than cargo stuffed at the port CFS i.e Q 10 ) will have to report at the Pre-Stage for completing customs/IGT formalities before moving to the RGCT terminal.
2. ICD export containers coming by rail , will have direct entry into the RGCT terminal , and procedure for such containers will continue the same as per Gate: Rail-Receive Container guidelines already in place.
3. Empty containers will not need to pass through the Pre-stage. They can continue to go directly to the Terminal and procedure for such containers will continue the same as per Gate : Road-Receive Empty Container guidelines already in place.
4. Only trucks/containers having necessary documents in full will be allowed to enter the outside parking area of the Pre Stage . The CHA Association representative will verify the documents and seal before allowing entry into the parking area of the PSY.
5. The CHA Association representative will collect on behalf of IGT , charges as follows
  20’ house stuffed container Rs 400/container  
  40’ house stuffed container Rs 500/container  
  20’ ICD/CFS stuffed container Rs 75/container  
  40’ ICD/CFS stuffed container Rs 100/container  
6. Parking Charges at the PSY for every additional hour, after the first five hours, will be Rs. 25 for 20’ containers and Rs. 50 for 40’ containers.
7. All Trucks belonging to a single shipping bill , called by customs through the respective CHA will be allowed entry into the inner parking area by the security at the In-Gate.
8. The security at the In-Gate records the customs/central excise or self seal, before entry to the inner parking area.
9. Containers that need to be examined by customs will proceed to the ramp available.
10. The representative of the respective CHA will process the custom documents and obtain clearance of Customs. For Customs procedures, please refer to Notification no 9/2005 dated 30/11/05 and the Trade facility no 18/2005.
11. Form 13/green form ( annexure 2 ) is submitted along with customs cleared documents to IGT office by the representative of CHA.
12. In the IGT office , as per the declaration in Form-13 a gate pass is generated, the said gate pass and a BAT is then handed over to the representative of the CHA.
13. With the gate pass and the BAT, the truck will then wait at the inner parking area for the announcement for proceeding to RGCT gate complex.
14. Once the call up is done on the public announcement system, the truck then is allowed to proceed to the RGCT gate along with the gate pass and BAT.
15. The security personnel at the out-gate of the inner parking area verifies the gate pass, and records the customs seal No. The out time is also noted by the security on the form 13 . The truck is then allowed to proceed to the RGCT gate.
16. The truck must report in a maximum of 30 minutes at the RGCT gate after leaving the Pre-Stage.
17. The export containers falling in the categories mentioned in Sl.No 1 will be accepted at RGCT gate only if the truck carries a valid gate- pass , BAT , shipping bill with “let export” stamped and seal intact. In case any of this is not complied to , the truck will be directed back to the Pre-Stage to complete the formalities again.
18. The trucks carrying export containers that have satisfied all criteria as per point 17 , will be issued an EIR for entry into the terminal.
19. “ Allow Loading” will be given by Customs at the RGCT gate .
20. The respective CHA will collect the Shipping Bill at the RGCT gate , and further paperwork/procedure will continue as currently in place.
Please note for smooth operations at the Prestage area it is absolutely essential for members and the Pre Stage users to open and maintain a deposit A/c. The Cheque/D.D. for deposit A/c should be in the name of India Gateway Terminal Pvt. Ltd and issued by the authorized CHA/ Exporter as the case may be. It can be paid at the office provided to CCHAA at the Prestage Area. Depending on the volume of each member deposit A/c can be maintained. It is advised to keep sufficient balance at the deposit A/c. No cash transaction is permitted at the Prestage Area
The users of the IGTL prestage area are requisted to keep a minimum balance with the CCHAA prestage area office in the name of IGTPL and no cash transaction will be allowed. Weekly statements will be email address of the users.
